Inviting Others to Heal
I have a journal where I place those stickers they put into running shoe boxes, since no one logically wants to put them anywhere. But I must record my efforts somehow. Oh, hello daughter. It's lovely to see you! But now leave my office so I can blow off work and read roadtrailrun.com to see the comparison between the new New Balance NitrogenFoam-Infused-Vitamin D-Injected-into-your-legs technology, which won't be released to the public for six months. Oh hello wife. You want to talk to me about your current project at work and how proud you are of your efforts? Nah, I just got a notification from a running shoe facebook group I'm a part of, and I'm now labeled a "conversation starter." That shit took effort. You should be proud of ME.
I just got "Believe In The Run" tattooed in the middle of my lower back, right next to my incorrectly written Chinese characters which are supposed to symbolize "go hard."
When people spell the word "Skechers" as "Sketchers", I turn on "Linkin Park" and I shoot my guns into the air to blow off the anger it causes within me.
Running shoes is all I know. And I have a problem. I invite you to confess your sins with me.
Perhaps if we talk about our problem, we will be accepted into running shoe heaven, which means spending our eternity in the storage room of a LRS (that's Local Running Store), watching the pleebs try on $200 Brooks while we sit there laughing in our AlphaFlys, which in running shoe heaven have infinite foam life, and improved cornering abilities.
I confess. I have a problem. I just ordered the NB RC's, and my replacement Saucony's haven't even arrived. The only solution is more shoes.
I had some very bad habits a little over a year ago. I chose to stop doing these things and live a " Healthier lifestyle ".

I ran in High School and was quite competitive. I looked around for a pair of running shoes and decided on the New Balance 1080 v9. Now having been a "GEEK" years ago I knew what to look for. Wow FRESH FOAM !! First the white ones then a second pair in "Gunmetal" ( always use the correct colorway ).
Then it started WOWtrail shoes. The Hierro....what's this The More v1. Yes , It happened. With the money I wasn't spending on extra curricular activities SHES became my new addiction. Different models, different colorways. More trottwalking and more shoes. Then I found RSG. A Facebook page dedicated to my " New lifestyle ". Now it is the first thing I do in the morning with my coffee. I MUST see what Sam Winebaum has said about the new shoe. What is Jarrett Weisberg telling us about new foam. Who is Walley slamming today and what is Aaron Batchelor saying about the new upper materials. This page is like a close knit family....friends , talking shoes. Roughly a dozen pair later in all colorways I have found a home at RSG and a outlet to talk all things GEEK. My wife even knows who I'm talking about when I say " Hey honey.... you ought to hear what the Believe in the Run guys are saying about the Fuel Cell Elite!!"
